The Classic Old Fashioned

Ingredients

2oz Good quality Bourbon or Whiskey

Brown sugar cubes

Bitters

Fresh orange peel

Method

In a glass add three mid-sized sugar cubes, 3-5 dashes of bitters and a splash of water. Muddle (basically mash/mix) them together. Turn the glass, holding it almost horizontally to coat the entire inside of the glass with the sugary mixture. Add ice if you prefer before adding the orange peel, squeeze the peel a little to release those delicious oils and finally pour in your whiskey (this can also be made with a good quality dark spiced rum, its my dads favourite!). Sip beside a settling turf fire and enjoy. Xx
